Con Man exposed: Deniz Ok [ eBay: sec_tel_world ]

1/24/2022

Deniz Ok, sec_tel_world scam
All info below are coming from XCell Technologies management team, and also from public sources.

We have discovered a new kind of scam/fraud and the person behind that: Deniz Ok. Apparently is located in Düsseldorf (Germany) and London (UK), if we consider data he offer on eBay account. We doubt that is his real name, but he use this name to run all kind of scams and fraud, associated with 2 company names: ABC Limited (UK) and ABC Großhandel (Germany).

Late edit: Deniz Ok changed his eBay account name from sec_tel_world to secure_gsm, hoping to erase traces and continue this scam. It didn't work.

The fraud

Fraudster Deniz Ok managed to get a large quantity of XStealth Phones without paying a dime. Of course, by fraud. Yes, XStealth Phones he sell on eBay are genuine. But... Yes, there is a "but": being a custom made order, his lot of XStealth Phones does have some particularities:
1. All XStealth Phones were delivered without batteries (which are single cell custom made batteries that avoid pro bug insertion). Instead of genuine batteries, fraudster use regular batteries which not only last less than original batteries but are also vulnerable to location tracking and environmental listening when a battery cell is replaced with this sort of professional bug.
2. Based on Deniz Ok requirements, certain software components were removed, and also added other software applications which made those particular XStealth Phones vulnerable to location tracking and remote intrusion.
3. On top of that, due to the nature of products, the fraud was reported first in Germany to Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt / BKA) and Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz / BfV) and then in the UK, to National Crime Agency (NCA), Metropolitan Police (MSP). MI5 and UK Counter Terrorism Policing. All above agencies got all necessary data to locate every single XStealth Phone ordered by fraudster.

By consequence, every buyer will be located and questioned by law enforcement, once powering up the phone. Instead of a highly secure stealth phone, you will get a banana phone...
This is not too smart for Deniz Ok, and seems like he doesn't care about his customers which are buying those phones to avoid exactly this type of problems.
scammer Deniz Ok

The fraudster

fraudster Deniz Ok
Probably Deniz Ok is not his real name. We let you know the name he use on eBay scam and other fraud, just to be aware and avoid buying or dealing with him. The same for company names he use: ABC Limited (UK) and ABC Großhandel (Germany). There are no active companies with this name in the UK and Germany, as shown below. Both UK companies were dissolved before creating his eBay account, so probably he stole and used company names and details only to give a legal appearance.
ABC Limited fraud
ABC Limited UK fraud
Strange thing, one of above companies had German directors and shareholders, a fact that lead somehow to Deniz Ok which is a German citizen.

In Germany, ABC Großhandel company is even strange: operates as ABC Grupp, having its headquarter in... Tallin, Estonia. The company have nothing to do with cellular phones whatsoever, being "mainly focused on the sale and maintenance of vehicles and the wholesale of food and consumer goods".
Deniz Ok scam ABC Grosshandel
On his eBay account sec_tel_world, fraudster and scammer Deniz Ok is using as email address sectelworld@protonmail.com, pretending that his "company" is called ABC Limited, located on British Monomarks Ltd, Monomark House 27, Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, UK.
What is British Monomarks Ltd? Well, is not a office building as you might think. British Monomarks Ltd is providing
mail forwarding service, virtual office and telephone answering services. Just perfect for any fraudster and scammer that want to convince you are dealing with a real and legit company located in the heart of London, and not with a scammer located in whatever country. This way, scammer think that no strings can lead to him, all inquiries stopping at British Monomarks Ltd. All good, until above mentioned law enforcement agencies are starting to put some unwanted and cheeky questions to British Monomarks Ltd.

The scam

Have you seen If you are not interested who actually is Deniz Ok and how fraudster work, then you should be interested in scams he do on eBay. Before reading below, just answer for yourself to a simple question: Why buying security from a private person, on eBay?! Do you buy your antivirus app on eBay, from a private person? We hope not. If you do so, then no reasons to read below.
Now, let's see: why buying "secure" cell phones from private persons, on eBay? Probably because of the cheap prices, without keeping in mind that cheap means less. Or even... nothing. And sure, you probably expect customer service, user manuals, accepted returns, extended warranty, repair and updates... from an eBay seller. Do you? If so, have fun with this. But remember that services are provided by companies and not by private individuals. Make sense to you, now? Sure, there are several small companies registered as eBay sellers, but you will never find serious and large companies selling on eBay. This is because eBay is addressing to private individuals rather than companies when it comes to sell an item. Same for eBay buyers: most of them are private persons. Have you seen other companies that manufacture secure cell phones, selling their products directly on eBay? Sure not! Boeing does not sell its Black phone on eBay. Sirin Labs does not sell their phones on eBay. Same for Silent Circle’s Blackphone. And so on. Why buying an XCell Stealth Phone from a private person on eBay, since there are official websites and resellers that provide those phones along with specific customer service, without any hustle and fear of scam?
This is why Deniz Ok sells his scams on eBay and not on a dedicated website: there is no company behind but only a single person. He is not a business man but a con man and a scammer. No need for a real company to do that, but only leaving buyers with a false sense of "serous business" he run. Not to mention the exposure that eBay can offer, even for a scammer like Deniz Ok.
This scammer can anytime delete his eBay account like he does many times before, leaving his "customers" with no help and explanations regarding phone use and various issues.
deniz ok abc limited sec_tel_world scam

The lie

Deniz Ok is not just a simple scammer. Is all in one: fraudster, liar and scammer. A combination which make him more dangerous than usual eBay scammers. The lie he use on eBay phone description is exposed below.

As anyone can read on XCell website, XStealth Pro is not yet released (this article is published today 27th January 2022). Based on XStealth developers declarations, Pro version will be released in the end of 2022. Despite that, Denis OK is offering for sale on eBay, XStealth Pro version (since 2021!):
Real xcell stealth phones
Deniz Ok ebay scammer
The funny thing is that Deniz Ok is presenting his scam as a "Real Deal". This is how scammer is lying eventual buyers.
The good news: until today, he didn't manage to scam any buyers. All stars he get on eBay account comes as buyer and not as seller, building a fake trust for novice buyers. "Buy with confidence from the 100% positive feedback" is obviously a ridiculous lie. There is no feedback as seller. He need all that ratings because of the price he is asking for XStealth "Pro". Big prices can be used only by old and trustworthy sellers, according to eBay policy. This scammer managed to bypass eBay checking.
Picture

We have to admit that fraudster is actually honest when wrote on eBay "!!!This is the REAL DEAL !!!". Yes, he is right. But... does not refer to buyers, but to himself: its a damn good deal for him, getting money for nothing.

The 2nd scam: "Secure 4G WIFI router"

If you think that selling banana phones as "secure" cell phones on eBay is the only scam that Deniz Ok sell, you are wrong. There is another scam he sell on eBay, even bigger: "Secure 4G WIFI router portable Hotspot VPN encrypted ~ IMEI ~ untrace stealth".
deniz ok ABC Ltd sec)tel_world dcam
What is actually that? Well, nothing special. Is just a regular Huawei router (E5573/E5770/E5885 series) which have a built in feature that allow IMEI changing by AT commands or directly from router control panel. There is no "encrypted" connection as scammer lie on eBay. Just to make it look more complex and complicated as actually is (for unaware buyers), scammer Deniz Ok is using "Airport Express" as model name, a term which is used only by iOS devices. Not to mention that scammer is faking also device manufacturer: instead of Huawei (Huawei logo is clear shown on some pics he posted), he pretend that the brand is called "Securwifi" (?!), a name that does not exist on a simple search on Google.
Huawei router price is only about 30-40 USD. You can check it on Google. Taking advantage on regular people lack of knowledge, scammer Deniz Ok is reselling this device with 400 GBP (about 540 USD) without making any modifications to make it more "secure". Nothing. Nada. Zero. But 200% profit margin. Cool or what?
On Aliexpress.com you can find the same product he sell (and same pictures he use on eBay), with detailed description. Nothing about "special" security, encrypted connection and all that sort of lies scammer use: www.aliexpress.com/item/32981395475.html Same here. And here.

No need to pay huge prices to this scammer. Here is how you can change regular router IMEI:
Huawei mobile routers & WIFI hotspots are well known for IMEI change capabilities. Nothing new about this. But this is not enough to make a mobile router secure, untraceable and stealth, as scammer Deniz Ok pretend.
Here is why:

1. A mobile router/WIFI hotspot does need a SIM card in order to work. SIM card provide connection between router and mobile network (outer world, internet). And guess what: router will connect to mobile network trough... cell towers and not directly to internet because this is just impossible. Hence, no real security because to allow connection, cell tower (and mobile network servers) need to know 2 things about any device that is asking for connection (including mobile routers): IMEI (router ID) and IMSI (SIM card ID). Only after providing this sensitive information to network, a mobile router can connect to internet trough a cell tower. For those who don't know, there are some devices called IMSI catchers, used for location tracking, call interception and data interception. An IMSI catcher does what is supposed to do: collecting IMEI and IMSI, then using them for further operations as location tracking, call interception and data interception. Funny, isn't it?
If mobile router IMEI can be changed at will, IMSI cannot be changed unless you insert every time another SIM card. However, when mobile router will connect to cell tower both IMEI and IMSI are broadcasted over the air and used for interception purposes. If an IMSI catcher or GSM interceptor are active within range, interception, location tracking and monitoring is trivial.
When you are on the move, mobile router will connect to other cell towers (trough SIM card) exactly as any other cell phone when travelling. Hence, your location data is exposed and widely available for network provider and law enforcement (and even for hackers). Location tracking is trivial. And "security" is just a lie that scammer Deniz Ok tells you.

2. Every single mobile router does have a so called router ID: a 32-bit IP address that uniquely identifies a router in an Autonomous System. This is also vulnerable to interception.

3. Every single mobile router have a MAC address (hardware ID) which is also vulnerable to location tracking and surface attacks.

4. Every single mobile router does use a SSID (wireless network name) broadcasted in clear text over the air. This is also a vulnerability, transforming your "secure" mobile router in a sitting duck when it comes to lawful interception because will say "hey, here I am!" to any mobile interception systems.

Compared with regular cell phones, a mobile router is more vulnerable to remote attacks, interception and monitoring because is using 2 vulnerable wireless connections (since a cell phone usually have a single connection with cell towers): wireless connection with cell towers and wireless connection with your cell phone, laptop or PC. Different radio frequencies but same vulnerabilities:
deniz ok ebay scam secure hotspot
This is how "secure wifi hotspot" sold by Deniz Ok provide "secure" internet connection.
Any mobile WIFI router / mobile hotspot is more vulnerable to over the air attacks than a regular cell phone. There are 2 essential vulnerabilities:

1. Wireless connection between router and your mobile device (cell phone, tablet, laptop, PC, etc.). Intercepting WIFI is trivial and more easy to do than intercepting a cell phone, due to WIFI security lack (authentication procedures, encryption, etc.) compared to regular mobile networks. As a matter of fact, tactical WIFI interception systems are way more cheap than mobile interception systems. You can find plenty of such systems on a simple Google search. Just to name few:
www.shoghicom.com/wifi-interception.php
www.tarideal.com/product/tactical-wi-fi-interception/
https://pegasusintelligence.com/sigint/#TacticalWiFiInterception
https://test2.zonetex.net/our-products/wi-fi-interception-system/
cerberussolutions.co.id/productssservices-wifi-interception-solutions/
https://spectradome.com/wifi-interceptors/
https://www.stratign.com/product/wi-fi-interception-system/
Picture
2. Wireless connection between router and outer world (regular mobile network).
Thinking of connecting your cell phone or PC to WIFI router / mobile hotspot via cable, which will reduce attack surface? Well, is remaining another vulnerable connection: data connection to cell tower that provide internet connection. If you think that your "secure" router is connected somehow directly (via cable?) to some sort of "secure" servers, you are completely wrong. This is not how it works. Your "secure" router will connect to the closest cell tower within your area (in the very same way as your cell phone does), in order to provide internet connection. Hence, no matter which kind of data connection exist between cell tower and the rest of the network: wireless connection is the weak point, exploitable by regular IMSI catchers and GSM interceptors that will intercept data connection (like this one), not to mention lawful interception systems.
Picture
Not least, "Secure 4G WIFI router portable Hotspot VPN encrypted ~ IMEI ~ untrace stealth" scam sold by Deniz Ok, is made by Huawei. Remember that back in May 2019, the US added Huawei to a trade blacklist over the company's alleged ties to Beijing, which were seen as a national security threat. So, a totally unsecure device is sold as a "untraceable stealth" router. No other comments are needed.
Deniz Ok sec_tel_world scam

Deniz Ok modus operandi
Scamming technique he use

This particular fraudster and scammer use different methods for buyers and sellers.

If you are a buyer, scam is done pretty much straight forward: scammer pretend to sell "Real working untraceable phone from XCell Technologies brand new in box." In fact, all XStealth Phones he sell are marked and monitored by law enforcement agencies with the help of XCell Technologies programmers. This is possible because Deniz Ok ordered a custom made lot version that have vulnerable software apps installed on his demand for whatever reasons. We have to mention that regular XStealth Phones cannot be tracked and monitored even by the manufactirer (or programmers), not to mention law enforcement agencies or hackers.
This way, when you buy a stealth phone from Deniz Ok, will get no security nor privacy. Instead, you can get an entire Police squad at your door step once you power up the phone.
The same if you buy the other scam: "Secure 4G WIFI router portable Hotspot VPN encrypted ~ IMEI ~ untrace stealth" and start doing some online monkey business.

Situation is different if you sell secure cell phones, any other devices or whatever marchendise he is interested to "buy". Deniz Ok is using old fraud techniques, almost as a talenbted con man. According to XCell Technologies managing board, this fraudster will first pay for all devices he order. Then, right after shipping when fraudster is sure that the parcel is on its way and cannot be returned to seller, he will pretend that devices are defective and not manufactured based on his requests, demanding payment refund. Fraudster will keep all devices and will stop replying to any messages. Managing board mentioned that Deniz Ok used disposable phone numbers in order to contact them and assigned forwarding agent. This fraud might involve telephone service provided for Deniz Ok by famed British Monomarks Ltd.
Recently, Deniz Ok tried to scam a German reseller which is pretty new in business, pretending that he is calling on behalf of German Domestic Intelligence Service -
Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz / BfV) and he want to order several dozens of stealth phones, being ready to pay for all quantity before shipping and without testing any stealth phone before payment, which is pretty unusual. Please note the same pattern used to scam XCell Technologies, before. Fraudster mistake was a beginner one: he considered his business "partner" (XCell Technologies German reseller) a newbie that have no idea about how any intelligence agency run technology aquisitions. Based on EU regulations, they have to set up a public tender even when buying office paper and pencils, not to mention hi-tech devices that cost a lot. Also fraudster Deniz Ok didn't prepared his fraud very well: he had no idea that BfV does not buy directly interception and security devices, because they don't use that directly. All technology is bought trough 2 support and research agencies for law enforcement and BfV, called ZITiS (Central Office for Information Technology in the Security Sector) and BSI (Federal Office for Information Security) with competences in information security and cyber security. So, German reseller realized that is a fraud on its very beginning, having fun with fraudster and playing with his nerves. In the end, fraudster tried to scare the reseller, threatening with BfV revenge, which was the most funny part of his failed fraud.

What you can do?

deniz ok ebay scam

Same old scam, new eBay scammer 2022: tish_1969
Location: Bulgaria
Scamming: worldwide

Picture
"Business" basic steps:
1. Buy a non-compatible Samsung G600 (instead of Samsung G608) with 15 euro.
2. Flash fake "stealth" firmware which does not work.
3. Steal a real background image from a genuine stealth phone, and then insert it on a fake stealth phone.
4. Sell fake stealth phone on eBay with cheap prices, to bargain lovers and non security-aware people.

Revealing the scam:

Picture
The mistake he did, so we can reveal the scam: showing A5 change alert settings screen, where HandOff function is not used anymore by genuine XCell Stealth Phones, being replaced with AntiInt (Anti Interception) function. That outdated function is contained by an old firmware version (1.0) which has been partially copied and implemented on fake stealth phones as the one we discovered here.

What should you do?

There is just a single and simple thing you can do when not sure if Stealth Phone you intend to buy is genuine or not: contact manufacturer (click here) to confirm product authenticity. And remember: a cheap item that only look like original is usually fake.

Phone number spoofing or changing

Picture
Surprisingly for most people, the phone number (called MSISDN in terms of mobile networks) is not stored on SIM card, which contain only SIM ID, called IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity). By consequence, there is nothing that can be changed locally in a secure way, on SIM level. This is why XCell Stealth Phones can change/manipulate IMSI and cannot directly change phone number.

Hiding Caller ID is something else than changing phone number and depends on your cell phone and mobile network settings. The result is just a Unknown call received by the call recipient. Read more here.

Untraceable cell phones. SRSLY?

Test your "secure" phone. Now.

Before everything, let’s face it: who do you really fear?
There are not so many hackers around that can actually track your cell phone, because of few simple reasons: expensive hardware needed, lack of knowledge regarding GSM stack and SS7 protocol effective exploits, not to mention that hackers have no interests on you, average Joe. Excepting your worried parents and jealous girlfriend, no one wants to know your (cell phone) geo-location. Tracking a cell phone is not a simple “push button” situation when is done by a hacker. That involve deep and extensive knowledge, pretty expensive hardware, time and not least, an considerable interest on you, average Joe. Which obviously is not the case unless you are just another skilled hacker or a high profile person.
The situation became serious when you did something bad or even illegal. Then, you became a target for law enforcement and/or intelligence agencies. And there is no way to hide your (cell phone) location. They have not only the legal ability to track down your cell phone at any time, but have also technological and human resources to do that, not to mention training and expertise.
In case you think that your own cell phone is secure, its time for 2 simple tests.

TEST No. 1: NETWORK TESTING BY EMERGENCY CALL.

Started few years ago, our website and blog has been visited by many people. Some of them sent us messages saying that the info contained by the website has been quite helpful when choosing a stealth phone to buy.
Also, existing users of fake stealth phones has abandoned their fake phones, avoiding this way many troubles generated by the lack of security which those phone have.

We've got a lot of messages coming from this poor people, most of them telling us about how difficult was to get a money refund from the sellers that sell fake stealth phones, no matter if they sell the phones on eBay, online classifieds or dedicated websites. Also, they told us about lack of customer service, replacement of faulty phones and non professional explanations about how the phone work and how to use it on a daily basis

You can see below only few examples:.

There is just a single conclusion: avoid buying and using stealth phones that have doubtful or shady origin, and buy only form certified manufacturers or official distributors.

A new scammer: http://blackstone-security.jimdo.com

blackstone-security.jimdo.com scam alert
Stealth phones scam in progress on blackstone-security.jimdo.com
Recently discovered new stealth phones scam on blackstone-security.jimdo.com have some pretty funny "pluses" than other competitor scammers. They claim that the stealth phone they sell have no more that 10 (yes, ten!) "clandestine operational functions", as you can see on the picture above.
There is the same old scam: a cracked and non working firmware installed on wrong cell phones (Samsung G600) that will give you only a cell phone that looks like a stealth phone but with no working functions. Sounds familiar? Sure it does: we have revealed this scam since last year.

This sneaky scammer is trying to mislead buyers by selling the same 7 functions stealth phone firmware installed on Samsung G600 cell phones, by simply inventing some additional functions. The firmware used to make his counterfeit stealth phones is absolutely the same as the one you can download for free from our website, for testing purposes: click here to download 7 functions Samsung G600 firmware.

Lame: copy/paste scammer

What else the lame scammer did? Well, proving that he is a lazy ass, an ignorant when it comes to websites or just a little theft (we think that he is a bit of all), he stole the text and pictures from the x-cellular.com website. Looks familiar? Sure it does: there was another scammer who stole text and pictures from the original manufacturer website, called Sohail Hussain aka Steven Adams (Jd Mobile Unlocking Service, private held company). Click here for more info.
Selling fake stealth phones is something, but stealing from others is something else. But when you put all together this facts, the only conclusion you can get is that the scammer have no idea about how things are done on cellphone interception field and have no idea on how stealth phone works. Buying from this scammer is like buying medicine from a quack and not from a pharmacy.

We had a bit of fun with this copy/paste scammer: seeing that he copied also the "About Us" text from x-cellular.com (including pics) and pretending to have a
"background in signal intelligence and direct experience of working with GSM, Security phones developers had a significant head start", we have sent him a mail asking simple programming questions, just to make sure he knows at least Java programming language which is also the language used to build the stealth phone firmware. No reply whatsoever, and we'll not expect one by obvious reasons. There are no developers related to this scam. In fact there is no team at all, but only a scammer trying to fool people.

And sure, they claim (actually a text copied from x-cellular.com website)
that "the development staff consists of individuals spanning different languages, regions, industries, and nationalities. We are experts in offensive GSM security , cybercrime and security intelligence." Experts...

The scammer is selling also his counterfeit stealth phones on eBay, under the nickname www-kpex-de

www.kpex.de stealth phone scam on eBay
www.kpex.de stealth phone scam on eBay
And yes, the scammer call all this scams as "Advanced Solutions". No doubt, those are solutions to get some money from ignorant people.

What other scam he sell?

Remember the Anonymous SIM card scam that we have revealed last year? Well, based on the principle "monkey see, monkey do", this scammer is selling sell so called anonymous SIM cards, as the other scammers do. No doubt, there is one thing that scammer knows: how to copy others. And he think that is the business key to success. Or at least to have some pocket money that comes from uninformed or ignorant buyers.
SIM card scam on http://blackstone-security.jimdo.com
SIM card scam on http://blackstone-security.jimdo.com
You can have the complete picture of the scam developed on blackstone-security.jimdo.com when you realize that the webstore has been built on a free platform. (jimdo.com). Why that? Someone who sell security solutions (and not any solutions but "advanced solutions" as he claim) cannot afford a domain name and a decent website when (probably) selling products worth hundreds of euro? Or does he hide his ass under the anonymity offered by a free platform website? Whatever the reasons are, you have to avoid buying from this scammer.
A clear thing, you can not buy security from someone who steal the others hard work, selling cracked/unlicensed firmware and having no idea about how cell phone interception works, pretending to be "a team of skilled programmers".

Update (22nd November 2015):

Realizing that his scam has been revealed, the scammer did the same as the one who ran imeichanger.com, antitap.com and secretgsm.com: has closed down the website located at http://blackstone-security.jimdo.com/
Following our marketing advice, the scammer has bought from jimdo.com his own domain name (antispymob.com), and now he is redirecting the visitors to his new website, called http://www.antispymob.com/
Apparently the scammer will continue to run his scams on this new website. We will keep you informed about future scam development.

On the scammer eBay account (User ID www-kpex-de) he uses a stolen picture from x-cellular.com website, trying to mislead buyers that the fake phones he sell are enabled with "New updated GUI interface". Despite the fact that he have no idea what GUI means, he is fool enough to use the Xcell logotype on the phone homescreen when selling his fake stealth phones. This is why anyone should ask him before buying about  XCell security seals on the phone backside. Just ask him to send you a photo with the phone backside, along with phone IMEI number. Then you can simply ask XCell guys is that details are genuine or not. Simple as that.
www-kpex-de selling fake stealth phones on eBay, stealing Xcell GUI and misleading buyers
www-kpex-de selling fake stealth phones on eBay, stealing Xcell GUI and misleading buyers
Just to make sure that we're not wrong, we have contacted XCell Technologies, asking if they have any reseller within Germany and The Netherlands. The answer was negative, there is no XCell reseller for these counties. You can do the same, asking about Germany and The Netherlands XCell reseller: you will get the same response.
However, the scammer is trying to hide behind a company called Ennetcom (http://www.detectnu.nl/?page=http%3A//detectnu.home.xs4all.nl/opdrachtform.htm) pretending that the fake stealth phones he sell are manufactured by detectnu.nl.
And here comes the ridiculous lie: how can a company like Ennetcom that sell only BlackBerry secure solutions (and not even the phones itself), a company that is not talking nor offer any dynamic IMEI phones, manufacturing dynamic IMEI phones and sell them only on a eBay account and (until few days ago) on an obscure and dubious web page?! You cannot see any references about dynamic IMEI phones on the Ennetcom (detectnu.nl) web page. Lets be honest: Ennetcom (detectnu.nl) are not at all manufacturers but only a BlackBerry solutions resellers, and nothing else.
No doubt, there is a logical fracture in the scammer thoughts: there is no manufacturer that is not selling his products on his own website, but only other companies products. Make sense to you?

And yes, there is another stupid thing that the scammer is trying to promote: a stealth phone which have the XCell Technologies logotype (the famous X), manufactured by detectnu.nl, a company that in a strange mode, does not say anything about dynamic IMEI stealth phones and actually does not produce anything but only reselling Blackberry secure services. Does it make any sense for you?
Detectnu stealth phone scam
Detectnu.nl stealth phone scam
stealth phone scam
Stealth phone scam on eBay. Seller: www-kpex-de
As a "very serious" and professional business that "produce" sell a lot of "secure" cell phones, guess what else this scammer is selling to make some pocket money: paintball masks and USB cables. A veritable businessman that is doing businesses on a large scale. Expect a professional customer service and explanations from someone that is selling this king of products? We hope not.
Picture
One last thing: a website will never be a manufacturer, as the scammer claim. But only a manufacturing company can produce something. A website is only a marketing platform, a web store.

How all this started: previous scams

Please note that most of the screenshots below has been taken from gsmhosting.com forum and few other websites where the scammer is pretty active.

The amateur scammer behind antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com websites is an italian guy that lives in Monaco, sometimes reported in Swiss. He uses the nickname "cryptone" on most forums since 2008, and sometimes "Luca" only on italian forums.

Early years

In his early years he has started his scams as spy-phone software dealer, on the black market. Back in 2008 he deals the illegal software only on italian forums and websites, taking advantages on italian people that - as you probably know from your trips or interactions - are pretty ignorant when it comes to english language. So, they had to pay a price for that ignorance, buying spy-phone software at high rates. As you know, selling and using spy-phone software is considered to be illegal in most of the countries, even when it comes to spy your own wife or child.

Then in 2008 he has discovered gsmhosting.com forum, starting to post offers for spy-phone software.

Nokia 1100 scam, a short story for the scammer

Bank fraud and selling fake phones - this scammer gets in
Picture
In case you weren't already convinced of a certain model of Nokia 1100's can be used for bank fraud by reprogramming the phone in a way that allow the attacker to extract your mobile transaction authentication number -- provided you live in a country like Germany or Holland that use mTANs -- and use it to get into your bank account and transfer funds.

So, this opportunity sounds good enough to the scammer to get involved in it, making some money by fooling people. When he first hear of this scam, posted on gsmgosting.com forum that he want to know more about this scam:

antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com scam

In a short time the scammer realize that he can exploit the market demand for Nokia 1100 by buying cheap Nokia 1100 which are not RH 16-18 series, and counterfeit the software or even the backside IMEI label:

Because he didn't succeed to counterfeit Nokia 1100 RH by software means, he has simply counterfeit the backside IMEI label:

And then he just start selling counterfeit Nokia 1100 on forums, web shops and eBay:

Preparations for change IMEI phones scam

You probably know that the scammer behind antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com is posing now in a security professional, running a bunch of websites and selling high grade security related products pretending that he knows how that products work and how cell phone interception work.
Just to have fun on his approach, vision and knowledge regarding cell phone interception, please have a look below, on how he name an IMSI Catcher or GSM interceptor: "IMEI phishing machine". We think this is self explanatory and need no more proofs about his "professionalism". Do you expect professional customer support when buying and using a stealth phone from this illiterate when it comes to cell phone interception? We hope not.
antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com scam
"IMEI phishing machines". Truly professional
Then suddenly he have heard somehow about dynamic IMEI phones made by XCell Technologies. He couldn't probably afford to buy one to start replicate it, presuming that he know how to do it (which we doubt). So, he started to ask round for similar but cheaper ones:
antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com scam
searching for cheap counterfeit IMEI change phones
antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com scam
Decided to make money from nothing by fooling people, the italian scammer wants to sell even phones that apparently change IMEI (only on phone screen) and not in a real mode. This is yet another proof of the scammer intentions to fool people:
antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com scam
italian scammer looking for a way to fool people with fake IMEI change phones
The real story of antitap.com, imeichnger.com and secretgsm.com:

At this stage, from our records comes out that he contacted a Bulgarian hacker and together they put money and bought an XCell dynamic IMEI phone, whose firmware was hacked and extracted by the Bulgarian hacker. The hacker name is Zlatin Penchev from Stara Zagora, and we have his complete story about how he cracked and extracted the XCell firmware and how starting to sell the cracked (and non working) firmware together with the italian scammer. In fact even the italian scammer admits he worked with a Bulgarian hacker:
antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com scam
Obviously, he didn't lose the Bulgarian hacker contact: the hacker has dumped the scammer just because the scammer has no idea about how stealth phones should be replicated and sold to make some pocket money. So, the scammer has started to figure out by himself how to flash the cracked XCell firmware on a phone, in order to clone a real XCell stealth phone. But seems like his attempts to counterfeit XCell stealth phones were unsuccessful at first, because the scammer does not have the necessary knowledge nor quite right tools.

Fake it to make it: please note that the same scammer has been caught in the past using fake G608 IMEI stickers on his fake G600 stealth phones, just to create the appearance of a genuine XCell stealth phone. More about that fake IMEI stickers, here.
antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com scam
italian scammer having no clue (in 2014!) about how to install the cracked firmware on his counterfeit stealth phones
Because of using a cracked and non working firmware installed on the wrong platform (Samsung G600 instead of G608), there are a lot of malfunctions and bugs that starts from the moment of flashing (installing) the firmware on the phone:
antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com scam

After his own statements, the italian scammer use the same empirical tool (Onenand downloader) to flash the cracked firmware on the phones, as the other scammer sells on eBay along with the cracked firmware (click here for details). So, no wonder that he got burned out his phones:

Stealth phone scam in progress

Despite the fact that the italian scammer sell counterfeit non working stealth phones, he start advertising on forums about his scam:

He also sell counterfeit stealth phones on his main web shops: antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com.
An interesting fact that demonstrates on antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com are being sold counterfeit non working stealth phones: please have a look on the thread dates: since 2013 the scammer sell stealth phones, but in 2014 he still ask for help in flashing stealth firmware on his counterfeit stealth phones. No need for more proofs, scammer own declarations are more than enough to demonstrate the scam.
antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com scam

What other scams can you find on antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com?

Buy cheap, sell high. This seems to be the the guideline followed by the italian scammer. Nothing bad up here, the wrong things and the scam starts when he consider himself nothing but a "legit producer", making confusions between producer and seller. We will not analyze his marketing strategies nor price policy since is not our business. But we will have a look on the products he sell.

What else he did? By using copy/paste, he added some text to his website, copied off the Play Store app page. This is how he launched his product called "Samsung S4 stealth Phone". Pretty easy, right? But not smart enough. We really wonder how many naive people he managed to fool until now.

All three examined websites are selling counterfeit and/or non working phones (claimed to be stealth phones), along with free software applications for which the scammer asks for money.
We strongly advise you to keep away from all three websites: antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com. There is nothing that you can buy for your privacy and call security, but only scams and lies.

counterfeit stealth phones
A counterfeit stealth phone is a ticking bomb in your pocket. Unfortunately you find out that you have been fulled by the scammer when usually is way too late: you "stealth" phone has been wiretapped and you got busted.

Following our investigations carried out in recent months, we have discovered several vendors that sell fake stealth phones. They sell counterfeit stealth phones both on eBay (using multiple accounts and nick-names) and on independent websites.
We present our investigation results, hoping that the following info will be helpful when you decide to buy a stealth phone.

So, we have identified the following scammers:

4 (location: Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, UK)

Name: Sohail Hussain aka Steven Adams (Jd Mobile Unlocking Service, private held company)
Current Status: eBay scammer, online classifieds scammer, online store scammer
Fraud: selling fake stealth phones
Assigned Location: Newtownabbey, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, UK
Address Information: 3 Dillons Grange, Dillons Avenue, Newtownabbey, County Antrim, BT370HU
Additional Info: A simple repair shop guy, that watched way too many 007 movies. fix.mobile.to.work, fixmob_fydy4156obf@members.ebay.co.uk, jdmobileunlockservice, http://gsminterceptor.co.uk/, hello@gsminterceptor.co.uk

SPECIAL NOTE: A "fake it to make it" type of guy. This particular scammer is the actual seller of Siemens S65 stealth phone, on gsminterceptor.co.uk, eBay and other classifieds. Has sold in the past years fake Samsung G600 stealth phones, and now pretends that those phones are good for nothing, totally disregarding his former clients, who have been cheated anyway by buying fake Samsung G600 stealth phones.
This is his newest scam: http://gsminterceptor.co.uk/product/siemens-s65sl75-untraceable-covert-updated-gsm-mobile-stealth-phone/

A funny fact: there is an Youtube movie ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-cl=85114404&x-yt-ts=1422579428&v=jddDwzA2pq0 ) where he is trying to tell us that Siemens S65 phones are the best ones and Samsung G600 (and not G608, as genuine XStealth) are not good at all. But in the same time he contiune to sell Samsung G600 stealth phones on his website (http://gsminterceptor.co.uk/product/imei-phone/).

It seems to be the most unimaginative, the most tricky and the most ridiculous of all scammers. Not confined only to deceive buyers, he steal from original stealth phones manufacturer (XCell Technologies) all that he find to fit his needs: text content, technical explanations, photos. Everything for deceiving his customers. Here's what we have discovered, to his shame: he stole the soundtrack from one of the XCell Youtube clips (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rtnc-5PdJ7I). Please notice the specific sound of XCell original intro clip, on the video below:
And here is the video that use the soundtrack stolen by Sohail Hussain:
stealth phone scam
Stealth phone scam on gsminterceptor.co.uk
Based on his habits, we expect from him to steal even the soundtracks from our Youtube clips. But by far, the worst thing is that he steals money by cheating his customers, selling fake products.

The question is: can you trust someone and buy security from him (stealth phones, etc.), can you put your calls confidentiality in the hands of somebody that lends itself to such petty theft? Of course not. Our advice: avoid shopping from gsminterceptor.co.uk, and anything that is relate to fix.mobile.to.work and jdmobileunlockservice. If you are in doubt, please contact us.

Seems like his customers start to complain about product that he sell: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f88/siemens-s65-imei-change-331494/

A comprehensive approach on stealth phones scam

What other tricks they use?

1. "Updated version" and "v4" trick

Trying to sell an outdated, unstable and cracked version of stealth phone, a few sellers  are using some ridiculous tricks, thinking that they would fool the buyers.

Borrowing random phrases and words from marketing techniques, they try to present their cracked version of stealth phone as an "updated" one. In fact what they sell it is an old cracked and unstable version. Of course, next to the "updated" you will find the current year, to maximize the scam effects.
stealth phones scam
"Updated version" trick (gsminterceptor.co.uk)
stealth phone scam
"Updated" trick on antitap.com
The guy behind antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com has "updated" his scam in May 2015, due to XCell Dynamic IMEI v3 new release. Now he sell no more than "v4" stealth phone version, a nonsense with no factual support.
stealth phones scam
"V4" cheap trick and stealth phones scam on antitap.com

Why this? Well, there is a simple and straight forward explanation: since XCell Technologies has recently released the real v3 Stealth Phone (please see their promo video), the scammer think that by simply claiming that he sell the newest version (v4), he will boost his sales. Since XCell Technologies - the real manufacturer - is clearly showing what the differences are between previous version (v2) an actual version (v3) on their videos (video 1, video 2) and webpage, the scammer is just stating that he sell v4 version. Only words with no facts behind. Not even a few pictures to support false claims. Moreover, he has used the same stolen pictures on phone description (please note that picture shadow used by XCell Technologies).
Just to have fun on what he will find appropriate to explain in what exactly consist the changes that his "v4" is having you might challenge him to reply to your questions. Because we did and we had a lot of fun.
Read more here.

As a conclusion, what you should be sure is that there is no real "v4" version, but only words, a ridiculous and strange marketing strategy to sell something fake and obsolete.
Please note that the only software updates are made available to the general public on the original manufacturer's website (XCell Technologies), on News section. Actual version: 3.0.

Just to have a little bit fun with the scammers, you can try to ask about previous versions, in what exactly consists the current updates and bugs that have been fixed. Being neither programmers nor engineers, you will definitely have fun on their responses, as we did ourselves.

  1. Another seller, busted: fake stealth phones for sale
  2. Anonymous SIM card scam
  3. The truth about antitap.com, imeichanger.com and secretgsm.com

2. SMS encryption software trick

These scammers claim that they sell some kind of bundle, a "stealth phone" having installed a software application that encrypts SMS. This is not a lie. But think about it: what to do with just a single phone that has an encryption application installed ?! SMS software encryption apps only works in tandem: first one encrypts and the other one decrypts the ciphertext sent by the first app. It's that simple. You will need at least two phones that use the same software, so that one phone will send an encrypted SMS, and the other one will receive it, will decrypt and it will display the SMS in plain text format. By buying a single phone with a single software application, SMS encryption is absolutely useless.

3. Fake product reviews

Proving a poor knowledge of his own website and confusing the website and blog notions (is having mitigating circumstances, being only a repair shop guy), Mr. Chow (anti-interceptor.com owner) has inserted fake product reviews, as blog entries: many "clients" (no doubt, fake buyers) refers in a funny way to blog and not to the product that they eventually bought, (have fun here). But surprise: on the blog page, instead of a proper blog you will find a product presentation page. So what blog are "clients" talking about? How funny can that be? And how dumb can be? You will appreciate. Obviously it is all a hoax, a scam designed to mislead customers who do not have enough information about stealth phones and especially for those that are looking for cheap prices.
By the way, try to post something. Anything. And check up the result. Have fun.

4. Why there are no videos certifying that the phone work?

XCell Technologies and their authorized resellers are the only ones who have posted videos demonstrating that the special functions of the phone are working.
Why not these vendors do the same? The answer is simple: the fake stealth phones special functions simply does not work as described. It is not hard to find a SIM card that is intercepted and then make a film. Even for us was pretty easy to do that: you can watch the movie made with an authentic XCell Dynamic IMEI v2 Stealth Phone.
5. Siemens S65/SL75/r32 stealth phone legal issue and other problems

Before talking about Siemens legal issues, we have to talk about the phone capabilities. Assuming (pretty unlikely) that the scammer would sell the original version (by the way, the authentic Siemens S65/SL75 version is developed and sold by Endoacustica at 5000 euro) , here are the necessary observations about this phone:
Supposing that this phone works as described, IMEI change being not reversible is not at all an advantage, as it strives to explain the scammer in several of his Youtube films. Here's why:
From technical point of view, for an GSM Interceptor does not matter whether the phones will change its IMEI temporarily or permanently. Called also IMSI Catcher, for an GSM Interceptor are important only the IMEI and IMSI that are "captured". Depending on captured IMEI and IMSI, the phone calls will be intercepted. An GSM Interceptor does not care whether an IMEI is or is not reversible. Simple as that.
Obviously, in this case the explanations about interception and how can this be avoided are being served with "professionalism" by a... repair shop guy. Its ridiculous explanations derives from a very low level of technical understanding of the whole interception phenomenon. The risk of giving ridiculous explanations on the subject of which you have no idea, is a pretty big one. Claiming that irreversible IMEI change is crucial throughout interception equation, the repair shop guy does not know that IMEI and IMSI are captured off the air by any GSM Interceptor, no matter if the IMEI is or is not reversible. He probably imagine that GSM Interceptor will somehow knock on the door and will asks the target to show the phone and the associated IMEI. Only in this case (which is obviously impossible), an irreversible IMEI can save the situation. You can easily recognise the wrong approach of a repair shop guy when it comes about cellular interception.
But let's analyze Siemens S65/SL75, the "Untraceable Covert Updated" phone (as the scammer advertise), assuming that it is not a counterfeit one. All this phone can do is to modify its IMEI at every SIM replacement, or after every call or SMS (actually only the scammer claim this, but these functions are not backed by any video whatsoever). Changing IMEI is pretty much what this phone can do. And nothing more. Compared with Siemens S65/SL75, XCell Stealth Phone has several criterias for IMEI change: it can change its IMEI with the one chosen by the user (user defined), or only at the first connection on the network (on reboot), and original IMEI can be restored anytime, which obviously is a major advantage. Of course, XCell Stealth Phone has more useful features, that makes it a true stealth phone: call interception alert, location tracking alerts, channel blocking function (ARFCN) to prevent eavesdropping by silently sliding to a GSM Interceptor, location spoofing function, displaying the TMSI value (a handy test to detect interception), phone calls audio recording and automatically delete calls list.
It’s hard to argue with this facts, claiming that a Siemens phone is a better choice than an XCell Stealth Phone, which is having more special features, is more secure and is simply the best in branch. No doubt, the repair shop guy marketing strategy has failed.
Our advice for this guy is to limit himself to phone unlocking and repairing (which he does it on a daily basis), and let's interception and phone security related issues on specialists account. And especially to stop selling fake stealth mobile phones.

The legal issue

It is illegal to use this change IMEI phone in UK and in most of the EU countries.
Why? Because there is a law saying that you can not modify phones IMEI. And Siemens S65 is not preserving the genuine IMEI as XCell phone does. You cannot restore the original IMEI (as XCell Stealth Phones does), which will put you straight on the other side of the law.

Just have a look what Staffordshire Police says about changing IMEI: this practice is illegal and only the manufacturers are allowed to alter it. We quote from what Police say:

" 1(1) A person commits an offence if:

  • he changes a unique device identifier,
  • he interferes with the operation of a unique device identifier,
  • he offers or agrees to change, or interfere with the operation of, a unique device identifier, or
  • he offers or agrees to arrange for another person to change, or interfere with the operation of, a unique device identifier.
2(1) A person commits an offence if:

  • he has in his custody or under his control anything which may be used for the purpose of changing or interfering with the operation of a unique device identifier and
  • he intends to use the thing unlawfully for that purpose or to allow it to be used unlawfully for that purpose.
2(2) A person commits an offence if:

  • he supplies anything which may be used for the purpose of changing or interfering with the operation of a unique device identifier, and
  • he knows or believes that the person to whom the thing is supplied intends to use it unlawfully for that purpose or to allow it to be used unlawfully for that purpose.
2(3) A person commits an offence if:

  • he offers to supply anything which may be used for the purpose of changing or interfering with the operation of a unique device identifier, and
  • he knows or believes that the person to whom the thing is offered intends if it is supplied to him to use it unlawfully for that purpose or to allow it to be used unlawfully for that purpose.
2(4) A unique device identifier is an electronic equipment identifier which is unique to a mobile wireless communications device.

2(5) A thing is used by a person unlawfully for a purpose if in using it for that purpose he commits an offence under section 1."

Please note that using XCell Dynamic IMEI Stealth Phones is perfectly legal since this phones does not change IMEI for good, this process being reversible by "Stay original" IMEI function.

6. What other products are being sold by scammers?

In addition to stealth phones, these scammers sell so-called "encrypted" phones. What are these? Well, these are simple Android phones having installed various software applications (many of them are even free), and which have been encrypted by the seller by a simple and free operation. Encrypting an Android phone is a simple operation that anyone can do without having to pay anything extra. More information here. You can find plenty of free voice and SMS encryption applications by simply visiting Google Play Store. Some examples here. Why pay thousands of euro if you can do it for yourself, for free? Why buy a Blackberry encrypted smartphone (encrypted by other person) and paying a thousand euro, when you can simply use Blackberry Enterprise Service, directly from BlackBerry website?
One more thing: an encrypted cell phone is not at all a stealth phone. Does not have any stealth features, as scammers are trying to convince you, by wrongly using terms as "encrypted stealth phone".

We are going to post a separate thread about anonymous (pre-paid) SIM card scam.

7. No customer service, no technical support, no after sales support, no product guarantee, no user manual

It's a kind of hit and run business. These scammers have no theoretical or practical knowledge about methods, ways and means of cellular interception, nor the principles of a GSM network. Most of them are simple repair shop guys, they only know about phone unlocking, firmware flashing, minor repairs, parts replacement, and that's pretty much all they know. Try to ask them about how the cellular interception work and how stealth phones that they sell, detects interception. You will be amused by the replies coming from them, if you will be lucky enough to get a reply. You may ask them about how location spoofing work (Channel lock function). Being a sensitive topic, XCell Technologies didn't make public this information which is available only for those who bought an XCell Stealth Phone. For this reason the customer service that scammers should deliver to the buyers, is nonexistent. Also, there is no user manual, nu support for any customer questions. Nothing else but lies or silence.

Because of scammers lack of knowledge regarding cellular interception techniques, we have discovered a funny fact: both scammers ( Sohail Hussain - gsminterceptor.co.uk and Vittorio Ossola - antitap.com) has copied one from another the description of the product they sell, or (most likely) both of them has copied the text content from the original manufacturer's website, XCell Technologies. Have a look on pictures below.

Warning: a new Stealth Phone scam on eBay

6/3/2015

A new seller on eBay, a new stealth phone scam: this time, seller ID is allbuynew.

Unlike other scammers that sell fake Samsung G600 stealth phones, this one pretends to sell the original version of XCell Stealth Phone. How he did that? Very simple: by copying XCell website pictures and text, on his eBay account. A hilarious thing: probably having no skills or basic knowledge regarding photo manipulation, nor money to hire a web designer, he has posted the photos with XCell watermark on them:
On the picture below you can have fun about what this scammer has understood from explanations that he has read on x-cellular.com:

Stealth Phone scam on eBay
The most funny thing is that the scammer has invented 10 "special features", selling this way not the "old" version but a new one, "updated Jan. 2014".
In his personal understanding, UnPing function is an alert for "network triangulation", which is obviously wrong.
No explanations about Channel lock, since XCell Technologies (the manufacturer of real stealth phones) has understood to disclose the use of this function only to users. The scammer has no source to copy these explanations, so he didn't posted them.
He is right in just one of his affirmations: "the best and the only one" is the stealth phone that he try to copy: XCell Stealth Phone.

Just to have more fun with this scammer, you should ask him for a pic, taken from the phone backside: there is no XCell security label. Also, you should ask him before buying, about how Channel lock function work, UnPing function and how to properly use IMEI changing function. And yes, his explanations about how to use the phone and how call interception work, will be memorable. Have fun!

Visiting his eBay store, we have found that the scammer (allbuynew) is selling also another well known scam:
Picture
Fake stealth phone + penis extender bundle
That being said, we think that the photo above and the products he sell are self explanatory regarding the trust you shouldn't have.
Or you should ask for buy one, get one free: buy one fake stealth phone, get one penis extender, for free.

Update 1.07.2015:
We have identified another two scammers on eBay, selling counterfeit Samsung G600 stealth phones and fake Samsung G600 stealth firmware (the one that you can download for free, here).

We offer for free the firmware (Stealth Anti Tapping Samsung G600 firmware 7 functions) that we've bought from an eBay seller, but before downloading please read the text below. Downloading link at the end of this post.

A counterfeit stealth phone (made up by using cracked firmware) is a ticking bomb in your pocket. Unfortunately you find out that you have been fulled by the scammer when usually is way too late: you "stealth" phone has been wiretapped and you got busted.

The story

Back in 2013, some scammers has sold on eBay an older version of the XCell firmware called "Stealth Samsung G600 firmware 7 functions". Of course a cracked version, unlicensed and especially a non-working one: once installed on a Samsung G600, the phone freezes and a black screen appear. Causes were the wrong indication by installing the firmware on Samsung G600 and not G608, and that the broken version lacks some external files that a full dump cannot achieve. Of course, the lack of hardware modifications necessary to the proper functioning was leading in the end, to an unusable and faulty phone.

Not to mention that not incidentally, JD Unlocking Services (interceptor.co.uk gsm) was no stranger to this scam: he was one of those which sell XCell cracked firmware, along with the device needed to install the firmware on the phone. All priced at £ 3,000.
One by one, eBay accounts were closed down following complaints of deceived buyers.

The newcomer : even worse than his predecessors

In early 2015 has appeared a newcomer on eBay, a scammer that sell the same cracked XCell Stealth Samsung G600 firmware 7 functions. Same scam, same fraud, same wrong installation indications regarding Samsung G600. Of course, the same result: the phone does not work. Only the price is different (and kinda desperate): $49.00.

Stealth phone Samsung G600 firmware scam
Looking more like making some pin money or a doggy sale than a business, a very low price reveals from the beginning that it is a scam or in the best case, a desperate sale of something that worth nothing.
The single way to clear up the situation was pretty much straight forward:  we have bought the firmware and we have tested it after installing following scammer indications, on Samsung G600.

Please note that this kind of scammers frequently change eBay accounts by adding new ones, since the old accounts are being successively closed down due to buyers complaints or even by the scammer itself, just to cover up his traces.

The firmware

The file is called "G600 full dump 7.bin" which reveals how the firmware was extracted from the phone: using a Z3X Box or NSPro and "full dump" function (read firmware). Please note that the latest versions of XCell Dynamic IMEI v2 Stealth Phone is no longer vulnerable to attack via USB, a full dump being impossible because of active security filters.
To clarify the cracked firmware version sold by scammer, we proceeded to analyze the source code. What we have found we didn't liked at all:
Samsung G600 stealth phone firmware 7 functions
Samsung G600 stealth phone firmware 7 functions that contains malware
Samsung G600 stealth phone firmware 7 unctions
Samsung G600 stealth phone firmware 7 functions that contains malware, sending SMS to premium rates numbers
The cracked firmware contains several added command lines that will send SMS to premium rate numbers, generating costs when using the phone.

We have also discovered the error that makes the interception alerts (detecting lack of A5/1 and A5/2 encryption) to not work:
Samsung G600 stealth phone firmware 7 functions
Stealth phone firmware Samsung G600, non functional due to wrong cracking and recompiling
This change was probably made only to maintain appearance of firmware functionality, by displaying on the main screen those alert icons, without being functional itself (no network protocol).

The refund

Obviously, after a few hours from purchase we've got a quick refund from scammer, without asking any questions. Probably he is afraid of account suspended or closed, following complaints.

The scammer has refund the money following our complaints

The conclusion

Instead of trying cheap tricks by using cracked software to "defend" your privacy, you better use licensed software and genuine products. Counterfeit products has never deliver real security. When it comes about your calls security, thing are even more sensitive an you have to use only trusted products.

A counterfeit stealth phone is a ticking bomb in your pocket. Unfortunately you find out that you have been fulled by the scammer when usually is way too late: you "stealth" phone has been wiretapped and you got busted.

To not go through eBay's refund procedure or escalating claim, we offer you for free this firmware, as were sold by scammer:
DOWNLOAD NOW
If the firmware from the first link does not work, try this one:
DOWNLOAD NOW
Why do we do this?

The reason why we offer this firmware for free, is fighting counterfeiting. You can try this firmware on your own phone, just to experience a cracked firmware. We will not be held responsible for any loss, incidental or consequential damage, or loss arising out of installation and firmware use. You install the software at your own risk.

Also, probably some other "entrepreneur" will buy this cracked firmware and it will resell it not with $49, but with $19. And the next one will resell it only with $5. So we have not taken it step by step: we burned stages and we offer you for free this firmware.

Our advice

Our advice is a pretty simple and effective one: always use the original.

Update:

This scammer has added on eBay the same fake firmware, at lower price. This time, only $25. Also, he changed his location to Germany.

Stealth Phone Scam: a reality that you need to know
